The rank of Eagle Scout is one of the most prestigious achievements one can reach as a youth in Scouting. Less than 5 percent of all Boy Scouts achieve Eagle. Eagle Scouts promote integrity, duty, and constant personal growth.

NOTE: Make sure that your Eagle binder and workbook is the most recent version when submitting your Eagle application.

  1. 2. Eagle Rank requirements can be found on Scouting.org > Programs > Scouts BSA > Advancement & Awards Overview (scroll to middle of page) > Current Eagle Rank Requirements
  1. 3. While a Life Scout, plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, any school, or your community.

  1. b. A project proposal must be approved by the organization benefiting from the effort, your unit leader and unit committee, and the council or district before you start.

  1. c. You must use the current Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook in meeting this requirement.

  1. 4. The most current Project Workbook form must be used. This workbook shows the project proposal was approved ahead of time, and then properly accepted by all parties. Find on Scouting.org > Resources (scroll to middle of page) > Rank Advancement Forms > Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook

  1. 5. The Scout must complete the official Eagle Scout Rank application. No other form or application method is permitted. It is found at Scouting.org > Resources (scroll to middle of page) > Rank Advancement Forms > Eagle Scout Application
  1. 6. The Eagle Scout Rank application and workbook must be submitted in a 3-ring notebook to keep all papers and pictures together and organized.
